It is a heritage from Portuguese, built at 1612 in order to provide defense against invading Dutch and Marathas. There is an old lighthouse within the fort which was built in 1864. The flea market is held on every Wednesday from 9.00 to 18.00 at Anjuna beach. Everything that is available under the sky can be found here.
